To end differences over Rangers’ powers responsibility of the PM, Ch Parvez Elahi

Lahore/Islamabad: 17-12-2015: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi has said that to end differences between the provincial govt and the federal institution over issue of powers of the Rangers in Sindh province is the responsibility of the prime minister.

He said this while talking to media outside the Parliament House in Islamabad.

Responding to a question, he said that for restoration of peace and law and order in the province and curbing the criminals and terrorists all institutions should be on one page.

In reply to a question that despite dangerous level increase in dacoities, sectarian incidents and serious crime in Punjab why responsibility is not being entrusted to the Rangers, Ch Parvez Elahi expressed regrets over this and said undoubtedly law and order situation is grave but all are silent, honour, life and property of nobody is safe in cities and villages, even in the provincial metropolis itself daily more than 200 incidents of murder, dacoity and way laying are occurring. He said that law and order in the province and protection of life and property of the people is the responsibility of the Chief Minister but Shahbaz Sharif is too busy in foreign tours of China, London, Turkey and elsewhere now and then.

Ch Parvez Elahi further said that ruthless use for political purpose has turned police also political this is the reason that criminals and terrorists are roaming free in the province. #
