Islamabad operation of CDA be stopped forthwith, Ch Shujat Hussain

Lahore: 19-01-2016: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former Prime Minister Ch Shujat Hussain has said that NAB will launch operation later but the govt has already started operation in Islamabad.

Talking to media here today, he said that sealing of Muslim League House and offices of other political parties is a very foolish step, last week CDA had issued notices to all foreign embassies to transfer their offices out of residential areas, similarly notices were issued to restaurants as well. He said in the residential areas 60 per cent houses would be such which have been rented out which are being brought into category of commercial use, likewise lawyers and doctors have also reserved rooms in their houses for sittings in the evening.

Ch Shujat Hussain said if the offices have been sealed because of political activities then residences of most of the federal ministers in the residential areas should also be sealed because political activities take place there. He said presently lot of confusion prevails in Islamabad, in the end the govt will be forced to close the operation itself and everything will be all right.

Replying to a question, Ch Shujat Hussain said that Nawaz Sharif and the Army Chief have reached Teheran after completing visit to Saudi Arabia. He said this is a good effort, we had already said that we should take the initiative and play the role to minimize tension. He said this is a national issue and there is no need to take all political parties into confidence, Muslim Ummah should have searched for resolving this issue right from first day through dialogue, why it was delayed so much.

Responding to a question regarding Pervez Musharraf, he said all cases against him will end gradually and he will be acquitted honourably. #
