Shahbaz Sharif should speak truth once in life at least: Ch Parvez Elahi
Lahore: 05-03-2016: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi has said that Land Record Computerization project in Punjab was launched by his govt in 2006, it was included in his “First Time in Pakistan” peoples’ welfare projects, proper legislation for this purpose was done in the Provincial Assembly and it was practically launched in Rahim Yar Khan and Kasur and afterward work on it had also started in Gujrat.
In a statement issued here today, Ch Parvez Elahi said that Shahbaz Sharif had halted this project, he and his ministers should stop telling lies and should speak truth in some matter for once. He said that funds were provided by his govt for this project for ending the ‘patwari culture’ and providing computerized record about properties to every citizen while sitting in his house, agreement was signed with World Bank under which the bank had approved assistance of Rs. five billion on March 28, 2007, but when Shahbaz Sharif came into power, he had shelved this project like his several other public welfare projects in the cold storage and restarted work on it after four years thinking people would have forgotten that this was started by Ch Parvez Elahi. #
