Art & sports have no frontiers, cricket has always reduced Indo-Pak tension: Ch Shujat Hussain

Lahore/Islamabad: 11-03-2016: Visiting Indian artist Raza Murad met Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former Prime Minister Ch Shujat Hussain over breakfast at his residence here today and exchanged views with him on various matters of mutual interest.

On this occasion, Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Dr Khalid Ranjha, Mrs. Farrukh Khan and Senator Nuzhat Sadiq were also present.

Ch Shujat Hussain said cricket has always played important role in removing tension between the two countries, exchange of artists promote culture. He said that artists are the cultural ambassadors of any country and nation and sports and art have no frontiers, our doors are always open for artists and sportsmen of any country including India and they get warm welcome and love in Pakistan, exchange of artists and sportsmen across the borders promote mutual love.

Expressing gratitude to Ch Shujat Hussain for his warm hospitality, love and affection, Raza Murad said that the artists are nobody’s heritage nor they are bound by frontiers, like playing cricket helps in improving relations exchange of artists also promote mutual relations and culture. He said that whenever he comes to Pakistan, he has never felt need for any security and can move around freely everywhere.

He said that Indian legend artist Amitabh Bachchan wants to visit Pakistan at the invitation of Ch Shujat Hussain. #
