“Chottu Gang” exposed good governance of Shehbaz Sharif: Ch Parvez Elahi

Lahore: 17-04-2016: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi has said that “Chottu Gang” has exposed the good governance of Shehbaz Sharif in Punjab and the fake survey in this regard.

Responding to questions from journalists here on Sunday, Ch Parvez Elahi said that as the Chief Minister he had approved setting up of police patrolling posts in Rojhan Chowk, Pul Kharak, Shado Wali, Kakhar, Iqbal Abad near Son Miyani Centre in Kacha area and at every post 25 commandoes were to be deployed but Shehbaz Sharif abolished this project whereas the criminals were given free hand to build concrete bunkers and morchas, Punjab Govt itself has paid ransom for release of EDO Health Dr Mushtaq Rasool and 10 policemen because of which the situation today is that police from 8 districts was fighting with Chottu Gang for many days and after all the army had to step in to complete the operation, we are saying for the last two years that such anti-social elements are present in South Punjab who are being patronized by the Punjab Govt whereas presence of Chottu Gang and terrorists was also pinpointed in the meeting of senior army officers and Shehbaz Sharif in 2015.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that in Kacha area the Punjab Govt has failed and not the police, incompetent Chief Minister and his inefficient ministers who have been giving explanations for the criminals and covering them are responsible for failure of the police operation and martyred ones. He said if “Chottu Gang” has got Indian arms then “R.A.W” agents also could be there but Shehbaz Sharif and Rana Sanaullah were saying there is “no-go area” in Punjab nor hideouts of the criminals and operations by the Rangers was being opposed.

He said further that the institutions in whose names fake and false surveys were released in praise of the good governance of Shehbaz Sharif should also ponder over this matter.

He pointedly stated that during last 8 years, dacoits and facilitators were patronized in this area, funds meant for this area had been utilized and spent on jangla bus and orange train, funds for law and orders were also swallowed along with the hospitals due to which such situation prevails in the province now. He asked if there was no-go area and hideouts of the criminals in the Punjab then where the army is carrying out the operation today, from where Chottu Gang got such modern heavy and sophisticated weapons and facilities. #
