Those who insulting sacred personalities want riots in the country

PML’s resolution in the Punjab Assembly

Resolution presented by Vickas Mokal, Aamir Sultan Cheema and Khadeeja Umar on the direction of Ch Shujat Hussain, Ch Parvez Elahi and Moonis Elahi

Lahore (March 11, 2017) On the direction of Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former Prime Minister Ch Shujat Hussain, senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi and Moonis Elahi, PML MPAs have presented a resolution in the Punjab Assembly against profane material on social media about the Holy Prophet (Sal’lahu Alehy Wa Alehi Wassalam), sacred personalities and Signs of Islam.

Resolution has been presented by Sardar Vickas Hassan Mokal, Aamir Sultan Cheema and Khadeeja Umar.

The resolution says that those who insulting Islam and sacred personalities want outbreak of riots in the country, the government should take immediate action against these evil doers and make public their names and they should be made symbol of “ibrat”.

It has been stated in the resolution that Pakistan is the only country in the world which has been established on the basis of La Illaha Illillah Mohammad Rasool Allah, Constitution and law of Pakistan takes responsibility to protect all Messengers of Almighty Allah particularly last of prophet hood holy Prophet Muhammad (Sal’lahu Alehy Wa Alehi Wassalam), all Sahaba (companions of the Holy Prophet), Ahle Bait, all sacred personalities (Radi Allahu Anhum) and Signs of Islam.

It has been further said in the resolution section 295-C of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) has been inducted for protection of these sacred personalities and teachings of Islam whereas in the recent days some unwise in flagrant violation of this law are resorting to insulting teachings of Islam in general and the Holy Prophet (Sal’lahu Alehy Wa Alehi Wassalam), Sahaba Karam and Ahle Bait in particular for spreading their evil designs and by attacking faith of the Muslim Ummah are trying their utmost to fan new riots in Pakistan.

The resolution further says that while our Constitution and law give right of all kinds of freedom of expression, it certainly do not allow insult of all sacred personalities including all Messengers of Allah, Sahaba Karam, Ahle Bait.

The resolution further says that our law enforcing agencies and government machinery are not taking any legal action against these evildoers, demand of the time is that against those blasphemers and their facilitators who are committing blasphemy of the Holy Prophet (Sal’lahu Alehy Wa Alehi Wassalam)Sahaba, Ahle Bait and other sacred personalities as well as holy book like Holy Quran on the social media in any manner legal action be taken immediately, names of these blasphemers be made public and they should be made symbol of “ibrat” otherwise there is grave danger of breaking of civil war and riots, furthermore we warn the government that closing these pages if all legal requirements are not fulfilled then as a result of this the government of the day will be responsible for all matters happening as a result thereof.

It has been further stated in the resolution that this house of the Punjab Assembly demand of the federal government that for seeking blessings of Almighty Allah and the Holy Prophet (Sal’lahu Alehy Wa Alehi Wassalam) it is essential that for stopping such blasphemous acts concerned department under 295-C should make such persons and their facilitators symbol of “ibrat”, develop such a monitory system on information technology regarding all sources including social media and this time all links and pages by blocked immediately and taking very strict action against blasphemers, peace of the country and Muslims of Pakistan be saved of such illegal and anti-religious activities and they should be such punishment that no one dares to indulge in un-pious act in future. #
