Four parties’ alliance approves formation of Grand Opposition Alliance headed by Ch Shujat Hussain

Lahore: 23-04-2017: Four parties alliance of Pakistan Muslim League, Sunni Ittehad Council, Majlis Wahdatul Musalmeen and Pakistan Awami Tehrik has approved forming of grand alliance on Panama issue under Ch Shujat Hussain.
In the meeting held at the residence here today (Sunday) of Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former Prime Minister Ch Shujat Hussain, senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi was also present.
After the meeting a six point joint declaration has been issued in which lawyers movement was fully supported and it has also been demanded that performance of JIT be made public very fortnight.
The joint declaration said that in the light of true spirit of the Panama verdict, the prime minister has become an accused, to meet the requirements of justice it is demanded that he should immediately resign, in the background of the Supreme Court verdict and non-cooperation of the institutions to keep the JIT free from unnecessary influence of the prime minister it is essential that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should resign so that fate of this JIT is also not similar to that Model Town tragedy JIT, report of JIT submitted to the Supreme Court after every 25 days be made public, learned judge of the High Court Mr. Baqar Najfi report on Model Town tragedy be published immediately.
Approving formation of grand alliance on Panama issue under Ch Shujat Hussain, the four parties’ alliance asked for establishing contacts with other opposition parties and formed a Coordination Committee comprising Tariq Bashir Cheema, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Sahibzada Hamid Raza and Allama Nasir Abbas and also fully supported announcement of launching of a movement by the lawyers bodies.
The meeting was attended among others by Senator Kamil Ali Agha, S. M. Zafar, Tariq Bashir Cheema, Ch Zaheeruddin, Muhammad Basharat Raja, Dr Khalid Ranjha, Dr Azeemuddin Lakhvi, Mian Munir, Sheikh Umar Hayat, Shadab Jaffery, Pakistan Awami Tehrik leaders Dr Basharat Jaspal, Sunni Ittehad Council’s Sahibzada Hamid Raza, Majlis Wahdatul Musalmeen Allama Nasir Abbas and Asad Abbas Naqvi. #
