N-League will be in tatters even before verdict of Panama case: Ch Shujat Hussain

Supreme Court will also give guideline for running the country, there is neither democracy nor dictatorship in the country, only money making system being run

Lahore: 29-06-2017: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former Prime Minister Ch Shujat Hussain has said that N-League will be in tatters even before Panama case verdict, now the matter has gone beyond Panama, history is being written, verdict will be historical and all things will come to the fore, one learned had rightly said that the verdict will be ideal one and remembered for many years.

Talking to media at his residence here today (Thursday), he said that the people are with the Supreme Court and the Armed Forces, “two months ago I was seeing perhaps some way out may come but this has not happened, two learned judges had not given dissenting note but in fact given verdict against him (PM), three judges said that more time be given and investigations undertaken, if they bring some new evidence then the judges will accept otherwise then there will be no new verdict and the other judges will also endorse the two judges”.

Replying to a question about alliance of opposition parties, Ch Shujat Hussain said that this alliance depends on the verdict of the Supreme Court, “I think the Supreme Court will not only give a verdict also give a guideline that the country should be run like this”. He said that our party can have alliance and seat to seat adjust with every party except N-League, we have no fight with anyone.

On a question he said Sharif Brothers are knowingly doing everything, they do not advice of anyone, this is their old habit of doing like this, the system they are running is only source of income, there is neither democracy nor dictatorship in the country, now everyone has eyes on the Supreme Court and the rulers cannot dare to attack it, people are with the Supreme Court.

Condemning criticism of the army, he said terming the armed forces at the puppets is regrettable, people are standing shoulder to shoulder with their army.

He said that if all leaders turn right then solution to the problems can be found, parties keep working and running, patriotic politicians should gather together for the sake of the nation then everything will be okay”.

Ch Shujat Hussain said those who had deserted us are in contact with us, they had earlier gone after meeting and now also keep meeting, our party is Pakistan Muslim League which is registered, all others N-League etc have been formed afterwards.

About the new prime minister, he said that if the assemblies stay then it will elect anyone after Nawaz Sharif, if Nawaz Sharif is disqualified then N-League will be vanished, removal of the party head is a distant matter, I fear that N-League will be in tatters even earlier to that, this government will go prior to the verdict, they always do more activities before the public whenever such circumstances are created in the government, if they do not go abroad and do not do anything else the people will sent them packing even before that.

He said that Nawaz Sharif and other N-League people wanted to push the matter towards confrontation but the Supreme Court is watching everything with patience, their decision is good that they have not fallen into this, all these matters will be seen afterwards.

Ch Shujat Hussain that NRO was first done between General Musharraf and Nawaz Sharif and later it was done with Motarma Benazir, previously these matters were used to be between political leaders and the governments but now the matter has gone to the people, nothing like this will happen.

Expressing heartfelt grief and sorrow over bloodshed and violence in Parachinar, he said that the prime minister should have first gone to Parachinar and come to Punjab later.

He said that by stopping welfare projects particularly in the health sector of Ch Parvez Elahi, Shehbaz Sharif has left the people to die, “that is why I have asked Ch Parvez Elahi to go to the hospitals and remove plaques of his name so that Shehbaz Sharif can put on his plaques and complete these projects”.

He said the statement of Shehbaz Sharif that Bahawalpur tragedy had occurred due to illiteracy of the people is quite deplorable, if the people are literate and educated then they are responsible for that who are in the government for last 25 years, 18th Amendment has destroyed education sector, throughout the world the federation runs education but here it has been made provincial subject, now nobody can stop Shehbaz Sharif legally and constitutionally from putting in the academic syllabus whatever he likes and may even put in his photograph in place of the Quaid-i-Azam. #
