Doctors thrashing, baton charging and arrests to stop them from going to Chief Minister’s Secretariat regarding their demands condemnable, conditions in government hospitals be improved
Lahore: 01-08-2017: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi has said that Shehbaz Sharif is committing immoderation and oppression with the doctors which is making patients more miserable.
Criticizing postponing and delaying genuine demands of doctors belonging to most respectable profession and deteriorating situation in the government hospitals with every passing day in the most strong words, Ch Parvez Elahi said in a statement issued here today (Tuesday) that the patients are already cursing the present government for non-availability of medicines and essential medical facilities and even beds in the hospitals but instead of improving the conditions it (the government) by not accepting genuine demands of the doctors including payment of allowances is causing more worries to the patients.
He said that no condemnation is strong enough of peaceful doctors thrashing, baton charging and arrests for stopping them from going to the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, what kind of rulers they are who do not care for the problems of ordinary and poor man as well as of highly educated doctors.
He emphatically said that on one hand arrested doctors should be released forthwith and their genuine demands should not only be accepted but these be implemented immediately and matters should not be delayed and on the other hand provision of essential medical facilities including medicines, equipments and beds in the government hospitals be ensured. #
