Anti-judiciary campaign and road show not change legal verdicts, people are with Supreme Court: Ch Parvez Elahi

Learned judges gave full time to Sharif family but they could not produce any proof, law or new thing in their favour, talk with media

Lahore: 15-09-2017: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi has said that legal verdicts do not change by running anti-judiciary campaign and road show, people are with the Supreme Court and its decisions enjoy full endorsement and support of the people.

He said this while answering questions from the media after rejection of review petitions against verdict of the Supreme Court in the Panama case regarding Nawaz Sharif and his family here today (Friday).

Ch Parvez Elahi termed this verdict of the five members bench of the Supreme Court in accordance with the merit and legal requirements.

He said on a question that the learned judges during hearing of the Panama case had given full time to Nawaz Sharif family to produce defence and proof as well to present their stance but they could not produce no such proof during the hearing.

In reply to another question, Ch Parvez Elahi said that during hearing of the review petitions also the accused were given full time but they could not produce anything new and failed to present any legal point also in their favour but outside the court continued with their anti-judiciary statement mongering campaign although by running anti-judiciary campaign, road show, raising hue and cry and by repeatedly saying “mujhey kiyon nikala” (why thrown me out), legal verdicts are not changed for this concrete proof and legal references are essential but Sharif family had nothing to say in their defence either earlier or now then this verdict had to come. #
