Army foiled Nawaz Sharif’s plan for civil war, Ch Shujat Hussain: Ch Parvez Elahi

Elections will be meaningless sans reforms in the national interest

Lahore: 27-11-2017: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former Prime Minister Ch Shujat Hussain and senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi have said that the army has foiled Nawaz Sharif’s plan for civil war by pitting the people and the army against each other, conspiracy of puppet government of Nawaz Sharif was that in the name of establishing the writ of the government the army be involved in the operation against sit-in and made controversial but Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa proved too wise and kept the army out of this sensitive dispute, if, God-forbid, the army had also become controversial on being involved in this dispute then conspiracy to destabilize Pakistan could succeed.

In a joint statement issued here today (Monday, the PML leaders said now that the army on the request of the government has got jotted down an agreement in writing with sit-in leaders then now the government should also instead showing any further cleverness according to the written agreement pinpoint the culprit for changing the Khatm-e-Nubawwat declaration within fixed time and make him “nishan-e-ibrat” in this manner that nobody dares to touch the Khatm-e-Nubawwat law in future.

Ch Shujat Hussain and Ch Parvez Elahi have further stated that the precipice of destruction on which N-League has brought the country, in that immediate elections are not solution of the problem, if case of immediate elections prevailing political tension will further increase which can become threat to the national security, only solution of the present crisis lies in the establish of a national government which should first introduce reforms then hold elections within fixed period, holding of elections without reforms in the national interest will be meaningless. #
