Constitution empowers Pak Army to take action against those hostile towards national security: Ch Shujat Hussain

Imran Khan blocked way of Nawaz Sharif’s dictatorship, from sepoy to general all are recognized with their ranks and not names, talk with unanimous PTI candidates

Lahore: 12-07-2018: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former Prime Minister Ch Shujat Hussain has said that PTI Chairman Imran Khan has big hand and credit for the place we are standing today otherwise Nawaz Sharif would have become such a dictator that we would have forgotten all dictators.

He said this while speaking at a reception hosted in honour of all unanimous candidates of PTI at the residence of former MNA Rehman Naseer Marala in Kharian today (Thursday). He was accompanied by former provincial minister Mian Imran Masood and former caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mian Afzal Hayat.

Ch Shujat Hussain said that I talk about issues only, I speak essentially only on such matters which pertain to national security and solidarity and I have never said anything personally against any political leader.

He said therein the Constitution a very big power is that if any party or person works against national security then action must be taken against. In this regard Ch Shujat Hussain said that Nawaz Sharif, who has been prime minister three times, has named General Faiz and critically targeted him then remember that from a sepoy to general all people are servants of the Armed Forces of Pakistan who are recognized from their ranks and not names, if they see this that any person or party or national and foreign elements conspiring against national security are active then the army has the constitutional power to take against such a person.

Those present in the political gathering were all unanimous PTI candidates from Gujrat. They included Provincial Assembly candidates Mian Akhtar Hayat and Ch Liaquat Bhaddar, National Assembly candidate Ch Ilyas who is son of late Ch Gul Nawaz old colleague of Ch Zahoor Elahi Shaheed and Faizul Hassan Shah who is brother of close colleague of Ch Shujat Hussain, Manzoor Hussain Shah.
