Devastation and destruction was caused in every sector of country including Punjab due to Nawaz, Shehbaz Sharif policies: Ch Parvez Elahi

All sectors including education, health, agriculture, industry were making progress owning to facilities given by our government but they reversed the wheel, talk with media

Lahore: 25-06-2019: Speaker Punjab Assembly Ch Parvez Elahi has said that due to the policies of Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif devastation and destruction was caused in every sector of Pakistan including Punjab, Shehbaz Sharif plunged surplus province of our tenure into debt and now they are hoodwinking the people in the name of APC for their own interest but Imran Khan government will Insha-Allah complete its five years and those spreading agenda of chaos will fail.

Talking to the media in the Assembly Chambers here today (Tuesday), Ch Parvez Elahi further asked the opposition to discard path of disruption, people will not let their negative agenda succeed because they are fully aware about their past defective performance, they know that Pakistan is facing economically bad days now due to Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif mainly.

He said that our MPAs and MNAs will fully support Imran Khan, budget be it of the p\province or the federation will Insha-Allah be passed. Former Chief Minister Punjab said that despite ideal peoples service and mega projects of modern development during five years when we left the government, there were Rs 100 billion surplus in the provincial exchequer, the province was making progress and headway in every sector including education, health, agriculture, industry due to facilities and incentives provided by our government, due to development in the biggest province Punjab, Pakistan was moving on the path of progress but soon after our government stepped down, this journey of prosperity was halted and Sharif Brothers tried to close down all our good works, the government of Sharifs reversed the wheel of progress and prosperity in the province, students, workers, farmers, industrialists and employees were deprived of incentives and development opportunities of our tenure. He said now the country is moving forward on the road of progress and prosperity under leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Meanwhile, Ambassador of Japan Kuninori Matsuda along with his wife called on the Speaker in the Assembly Chambers and exchanged views with him on matters of mutual interest.

Apprising the Japanese Ambassador about the government priorities, the Speaker said that there is PTI and Pakistan Muslim League (PML)’s ally government in Pakistan, together we are endeavoring for promotion of democracy in the country.

Ch Parvez Elahi informed the honoured guest that elimination of illiteracy, backwardness and poverty and provision of health, education and other basic necessities to the people are our priorities.

The Speaker also apprised the guests about the structure of the Assembly, parliamentary traditions and the Rules of Procedure of the legislature. The Japanese envoy visited the Assembly library and other sections and thanking Ch Parvez Elahi for his hospitality said that Japan is trying for betterment of Pakistan and we duly value love and sincerity of the people of Pakistan for Japan.

In the meeting, Shabbir Shah from Glasgow, Secretary Punjab Assembly Muhammad Khan Bhatti and Director General Parliamentary Affairs Inayatullah Lak were also present. #
