Islamabad/Lahore: 06-11-2019: Delegation headed by Swiss Confederation Council of State President Mr Jean-Rene Fournier and Switzerland Ambassador Mr Thomas Kolly called on Speaker Punjab Assembly Ch Parvez Elahi in Islamabad today (Wednesday).

During the meeting, views were exchanged regarding further promoting bilateral relations and relations between the people of both the countries.

Delegation included Chief of International Relations in the Swiss Parliament Mr Claudio Fisher, Swiss Confederation Council of State former President Mr Hans Altherr and Senator Professor Dr Mehr Taj Roghani.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that the relations between Switzerland and Pakistan have always remained friendly, for boosting bilateral trade mass peoples contact campaign is very essential.

Mr Jean-Rene Fournier said that in the prevailing political situation the role of understanding and appeasement which you are playing is quite appreciable, as Chief Minister Punjab you have also rendered valuable services; your proposals for promoting mass peoples contact between the two countries are worth following. #
