Things were cleared in meeting with PM, some people want to fail him: Moonis Elahi

Ch Parvez Elahi is not candidate for chief minister ship, we desire that next election be contested together, many people in the assembly are our thinking, flour, sugar crisis can be controlled, keep meeting N-League people in the assembly, talk with media

Lahore (04-02-2020) Pakistan Muslim League (PML) central leader and MNA Moonis Elahi has said that first meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan was good, we had talked openly and whatever the PM said were cleared, after all these happenings I thought that the matters will get right.

Responding to different questions from the media, Moonis Elahi said this is absolutely wrong that we want to end Buzdar government, however, some people want to fail Imran Khan, our agreement with PTI was that our ministers will be fully empowered and they will be able to do posting, transfer policy and there will be no interference in our ministries whereas matters were also settled about three districts.

In the context of meeting with Federal Minister Shafqat Mehmood, he said that Shafqat Mehmood had started talking by saying that the matters settled with the first committee those will; be implemented.

Moonis Elahi further said that work on what was settled with the first committee had started, work on posting, transfer had also got underway but development funds matter could not make headway.

In response to a question, he said that meetings with the N-League people keep taking place in the assembly, there are many people in the assembly who are of our thinking.

He said that Ch Parvez Elahi is not candidate of chief minister ship of Punjab, our effort is that this alliance should work and also desire to contest next election together.

About a question regarding flour, sugar crisis, the PML leader said that flour, sugar crisis can be controlled and the government will overcome this crisis, things have started moving towards betterment, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has even today appreciably overcome some posting, transfer issues.

In reply to a question about his meeting with the prime minister, he said that I had informed the PM about party apprehensions, assured the prime minister that we are with the government and want whatever the matters be should be solved amicably. About new negotiations team, he said that in the presence of one committee, constituting second committee was unjustified, former people of our party mislead Imran Khan. #
