Constitutional amendments undertaken on majority basis cannot be successful: Ch Shujat Hussain

For getting amendments contrary to Pakistan, people and particularly educational interest rejected will contact all party leaders

Educational standard destroyed by empowering provinces regarding syllabus through 18th Amendment, not appropriate to indulge in statement mongering without reading the amendments

Lahore: 28-04-2020: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former Prime Minister Ch Shujat Hussain has said that the constitutional amendments undertaken on majority cannot be successful, he will contact all parties chiefs for getting amendments contrary to Pakistan, people and particularly educational interest rejected.

In a statement issued here today (Tuesday) Ch Shujat Hussain said that different parties leaders have today given statements on 18th Amendment and majority of them commented on the amendment without reading it, on the basis of majority some such amendments have been done in which future generations have kept in dark and ignorant about the history of the country.

He said that our party thinks only about the interest of Pakistan, particularly the amendment which has been done in matters of education girls and boys students have been deprived of the movement.

Ch Shujat Hussain said that I will talk to the chiefs of all parties that they should also reject this amendment passed on the majority basis, in any constitution of the world academic syllabus is one and that is with the Federation, by empowering the provinces they have spoiled standard of education, because in this way every province will make syllabus of its own choice whereas this power should be with the Federation, there are other amendments also which they had got approved on the basis of majority which had failed, , our will oppose every such amendment inside and outside the assembly which will not be in the interest of the country and the nation. #
