My and entire nation salute to all martyred including SSP Ashraf Marath Shaheed on Youm-e-Shuhda: Ch Parvez Elahi

As chief minister I was greatly grieved to know that Shehbaz Sharif had stopped all announced awards and concessions to the inheritors of the martyred

During our five years families of martyrs were not only getting all announced concessions but pensions of widows also kept increasing

Present government and police chief should check whether now our established system is working or that of Shehbaz Sharif

Lahore: 04-08-2020: Speaker Punjab Assembly Ch Parvez Elahi in his video statement on Police Martyrs Day (Youm-e-Shuhda-e-Police) here today (Tuesday) has said that Police jawans have always performed the role of front line defender in every condition, my and entire nation salute to all martyred including SSP Ashraf Marath.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that when I took over charge as Chief Minister Punjab the first announcement I made was that all awards to the martyred and funds to their inheritors (families) should be given according to the announcements, during my tenure pension of the widows of the martyred was increased every year, I was greatly grieved to know that Shehbaz Sharif had stopped all announced awards and concessions to the families of the martyred during his first tenure, , we had developed such a system that nobody should stop again the concessions for the families of the martyred.

He said that now the present government and the police chief are duty bound to see to it whether the work which I had started is continuing or Shehbaz Sharif’s system has again been started. #
