Lahore: 31-05-2021: Ambassador of Switzerland Benedict de Cerjat called on acting Governor Punjab Ch Parvez Elahi at the Governors’ House here today (Monday).
On this occasion Ms Fabienne Trumpy and Commercial Advisor Muhammad Ajwat Arsalan Khan were also present.
During the meeting views were exchanged about education, health and other matters of mutual interest, enhancing peoples contact campaign between the two countries and promotion of trade.
Acting Governor Punjab Ch Parvez Elahi said that Pakistan highly values its relations with Switzerland which are based on mutual understanding, respect and cooperation, Switzerland is an important trade and development partner of Pakistan and is among Pakistan’s five major foreign investment countries.
Ch Parvez Elahi said that the Swiss companies should do investment in Pakistan for further boosting their business, there has been quite significant improvement in our internal security atmosphere as a result of strong measures by the Government of Pakistan against terrorism and betterment of law and order, review of travel advisory by the Swiss Government this year is an appreciable step, following reduction in epidemic of Corona it should be further reviewed.
Ch Parvez Elahi said that Pakistani students are taking advantage of best opportunities in the Swiss universities and educational institutions; there is a need for establishing contacts between high educational institutions of the two countries particularly in the fields of medicine, clinical science, psychology and economics and management.
Thanking Ch Parvez Elahi, the Swiss Ambassador said that Pakistan is a very beautiful country; my posting here is a pleasant experience of my career. #
